I. Restricted Regions
Advena is an Australian company, and is bound by Australia's governing legislation. A key obligation for Advena is to ensure that we remain compliant with Australian sanctions law, both in respect to individuals and entities.
We observe and comply with sanctions and other directions issued by the Australian Federal Government via the Consolidated List, and the United Nations Security Council.
Consequently, we take steps to intercept and prevent access to our services and infrastructure from IPs originating from sanctioned countries and regions. This means that we cannot provide services or assets to, or deal with assets of, anyone residing (or otherwise located) within, or with connections to, the following regions:

Additionally, Advena routinely audits internal systems and customer data to attempt to identify individuals and organisations which are currently subject to sanctions or other security advisories. Advena may also, either in real-time or post-submission, match provided information against a government-provided database of 6,000+ sanctioned individuals and organisations. II. Restricted Industries
Advena may restrict access to, or deny service for, products to some businesses in restricted or regulated industries. These industries include:
- Bail bonds
- Timeshares
- Political organisations
- Fortune telling
- Betting or fantasy sports
- Lotteries
- Online gambling
- Casinos and gambling venues
- Money orders
- Wire transfers
- Cheque cashing
- Loans or lending
- Investment services
- Financial information and research
- Pharmacies or pharmaceuticals
- Tobacco or cigars
- Adult content or services
- Vapes, e-cigarettes, e-juice or related products
- Weapons, explosives, or munitions
- Supplements or nutraceuticals
- Alcohol
Decisions regarding denial of service to a business on the basis of the declared industry are subject to an internal peer-review processes and can be disputed by contacting Advena to raise a formal (AF12) Challenge of Decision.
